Catholics believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and in Jesus Christ as our Savior. Our faith is rooted in Scripture and Tradition, guided by the teachings of the Church. The Catechism of the Catholic Church outlines our beliefs in four key areas:
The Profession of Faith
The Celebration of the Christian Mystery
Life in Christ
Christian Prayer
These pillars help us grow in love of God and neighbor .
The Mass is the central act of Catholic worship, where we gather to celebrate the Eucharist—the Body and Blood of Christ. It is both a sacrifice and a meal, connecting us to Jesus' life, death, and resurrection .
Catholics are required to confess serious (mortal) sins at least once a year. Venial sins can be forgiven through prayer, repentance, and receiving the Eucharist. If you're unsure about your sins, it's always helpful to speak with a priest .
Jesus established the Church to teach, sanctify, and guide us. It is through the Church that we receive the sacraments, learn the faith, and are supported by a community of believers .
