When preparing for a funeral and graveside service, please contact the parish office as soon as possible before making arrangements with a cemetery or funeral home.
Contact: (206) 364-7900 to reach the parish office.
We’re here to support you through this difficult time and help plan meaningful funeral rites for your loved one. Planning can feel overwhelming, but we will guide you every step of the way.
The funeral rites usually include three parts:
The rosary (typically recited just before the funeral)
The funeral Mass
The burial
Many parts of the service, like prayers and intercessions, are prepared for you. You can choose Scripture readings and hymns if you wish, or the parish can select them on your behalf.
Planning Details
We offer a helpful funeral planning checklist to guide your choices.
Scripture reading options are available in a booklet or online through the US Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Music selections should be coordinated with our Pastoral Assistant for Music, Greg Teeter. Families typically choose three hymns: Entrance, Communion, and Recessional.
We are grateful to assist you in honoring your loved one and will keep you in our prayers. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
